Hey there! Thanks for checking out my website. It’s nice to “meet” you. If you’ve made it this far, you’ve probably already figured out that I’m Carly Mascitti, and I’m currently a Sports Anchor/Reporter at WHEC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Rochester, NY. I cover the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Blue Jays, Rochester Americans and Rochester Red Wings. I’m a proud Philadelphia native and 2016 Temple University graduate, where I earned Emmy nominations three consecutive years as an anchor and reporter for my work covering top Division-1 athletics. Before calling Western New York home, I lived and worked in Panama City Beach, Los Angeles, London, and Rome.
I got my first job in local television at WMBB-TV in the Florida Panhandle as a multi-media journalist in January 2017. Three months into the job, I was promoted to Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter, covering Florida State, JUCO and local high school athletics. I began running the sports department in September 2018 until I left the station at the end of my contract in March 2019. I then took a few months between jobs to travel domestically and internationally.
My coverage has taken me across Europe and the United States. I’ve broadcasted college football games nationally and reported on conference media days and championships. My sports coverage has included the NHL, NFL, MLB, NCAA, NLL and more.
However, my experience goes well beyond any given game. I’ve covered international news while based in the UK and major natural disasters - most recently, Hurricane Michael, where I went live wall-to-wall from along the coast leading into the storm and continued coverage in the aftermath, hosting hour-long, commercial-free live shows from the most devastated areas.
I have experience behind the camera, as well. I began working on NBC's hit show The Voice in 2015, traveling with the casting department before transitioning into the contestant department, in conjunction with my move to Los Angeles. During my time living in London, I served as a project coordinator, videographer, and editor for Really Bright Media. I have also worked in production and casting on various projects for ABC, NBC, Dick Clark Productions, Cornwell Casting, and more. My experience extends into public relations and marketing in the sports, entertainment, and fashion industries.
